Provoked by the post of a famous influencer in her profile on social media, the Lost in Plovdiv team decided to refute some of the things she wrote, presenting what is happening in Plovdiv restaurants as “absolutely inexplicable".
We state with confidence that for the fourth consecutive year, we have been writing and always keeping up with the establishments in the City under the hills that we most sincerely recommend to our readers. We started with places in the city center, and gradually added to the list good restaurants and cafes in the neighborhoods. We have tried many of the offers in the menu personally, and a compulsory selection criterion is the pleasant and unobtrusive smoke-free environment.
Last year Plovdiv proudly carried the title European Capital of Culture and was visited by over one million tourists. Everyone was fascinated by the unique atmosphere and the rich choice of excellent food in neat places. Of course, this is not always the case outside the center, which is why we are less likely to share favorite places in this direction.
The three locations described in the post of the lady with thick smoke, lots of people, orchestra and stench are rather places on the outskirts of the city, as we know from personal experience that there are many such places in the Sofia neighborhoods. And to disprove all this negative response from a slightly tendentious text placed on the Internet, we have prepared a list of 10 restaurants in Plovdiv, in which... Oh, wonder!...there is no smoking inside:
And this is just a short list that we have prepared in minutes. There are many more! We have written enough about some of them, as the links in the text show, and we still have more to say about others. We advise anyone who wants to get good service, delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere with no tobacco smoke and orchestra accompaniment, toresearch the places they visit. For good or bad, there are various establishments all over the world and no one can stop people from having fun the way they like.
We are against generalizing the situation and visitors of Plovdiv restaurants with a title such as "Hunger, Smoke and Suffering in Plovdiv", because before that let's not forget to answer the question Are Plovdiv and Sofia like the Shire and Mordor?
