Whether it's a night of spooky witches or cute kittens, October 31st is the perfect time to let your imagination run wild and have fun—like no one’s watching. Although Halloween isn’t one of the most celebrated holidays in Plovdiv, it has its fans who eagerly prepare their costumes and can't wait to dive into the festivities.
Our team has put together a list of some of the city’s most exciting Halloween events, creating a special guide for the scariest night of the year:
Halloween Party at the Museum
The museum will be transformed into a spooky setting for young visitors, with eerie decorations, fantastic music, and “terrifying” Halloween treats! Everyone is summoned to join the fun and show off their extravagant, memorable costumes in the museum foyer. Participants can also enhance their scary looks by taking part in the activities at the special Halloween-themed workshops such as:
- Halloween Mask Workshop: Design your own mask using pre-made animal templates.
- Face Painting Workshop: Become a true Halloween masterpiece.
- Ghostly Lecture: Learn scary, unknown facts about museum artifacts that’ll send chills down your spine.
It is recommended for ages 7 - 13, with a participation fee of 20 leva. Pre-registration required.
Halloween at the Cinema
For all film lovers, Mall Plovdiv is offering a hair-rising selection of scary movies at a ticket price of just 6.66 leva for selected screenings. The lineup includes three animated features suitable for the whole family, as well as some real horror films for those ready to be scared. Screenings run all day, with the last show starting at 1 a.m.
Pumpkin Party at Offline Café
Next up - a party idea in Kapana: Offline Café kicks off at noon with a pumpkin lantern-making workshop. No one really knows the right way of doing this, but this is not a good reason not to try this activity! Adults can carve the pumpkins while kids help with the designs. Meanwhile, decorations for the party in the evening will be prepared, giving everyone a chance to add their touch. A Halloween themed menu will be waiting for you, while the table game fees are waived for the night. Expect Halloween-themed surprises and discounts for anyone dressed in ORANGE or with pumpkin motives.
Marvel Quiz and Halloween Afterparty
Step into the Marvel universe at Petnoto where they have prepared an epic quiz for yo. Show off your Marvel knowledge while enjoying new themed cocktails crafted by the two talented ladies of the bar team. After the quiz, it’s time for the afterparty which is open to all witches, goblins, orcs, ghosts, and creatures of all kinds, with shots for all!
The party at Petnoto continues on Friday night, as well, with a Halloween Rave Night, offering bonus points and shots for the ones with best costumes and looks. DJs Nodabskills, Vesso, and The Great Value will keep the energy up with a mix of UK Garage, House, Tech House, Funky, Progressive, Tribal House, and more.
DJ Party at KASAPI
Komatevo’s oldest restaurant is known for its unique marketing and unconventional party ideas. This Halloween, they promise a night of kitchen action under the beats of top DJs, flipping steaks, kebabs, and sausages for a show you can’t see every day! Those who dine on their selection of premium, dry-aged meats can raise a toast with a complimentary “Morticia Addams” cocktail from the venue.
