Cafe Paris has been a well-known establishment in the neighborhood for over 14 years, and its name and concept have not changed during all this time. However, for about four years now, it has had different owners, who with a lot of passion and enthusiasm have given it new energy and turned it into a must-see stop in the area – from the morning espresso to the evening aperitif.
The story begins almost like a movie. Zlatina and Petar find themselves new residents in Küçük Paris and in the first months after moving, they discover the small café on their way to work. At first, they are just regular customers – they stop every morning for a coffee and a few words with the owners. But soon fate surprises them – the establishment is sold. Instead of passing by, they decide to dive headfirst into a new adventure. Thus, Cafe Paris becomes their family business corner – a place where they put not only work, but also their soul. The first months were not easy: the street in front of the establishment was closed for a long renovation, but with diligence and perseverance they managed to retain their customers and gradually renew the interior and menu.
Today, the café has a new spirit – both cozy and modern. In the morning, the aroma of Lavazza Super Crema attracts lovers of thick and balanced espresso. It was with this brand that Café Paris won second place in a national Lavazza competition with its own signature alcoholic cocktail from the Lavazza Tales of Italy series, and that was its debut participation.
But behind the bar there is not only the classics – here you will also find inspiring options such as Viennese or Irish coffee, modern latte flavors and many more small pleasures that turn the morning into a ritual.
Zlatina is one of those people who never stops developing and looking for the new. She was among the first to present the specialty “Coffee, Tea and Barista” at the University of Food Technology – a participation that puts Cafe Paris on the map of modern coffee culture in Bulgaria.
In the afternoon, the place changes its rhythm – the desserts are selected to be the perfect companion for coffee, and in the evening the bar comes alive. The menu includes classic cocktails such as Bloody Mary, Old Fashioned and Negroni, but also homemade offerings – cider and mulled wine, which bring back the feeling of coziness and shared moments with friends. Because Cafe Paris is not just an establishment, but also a feeling of care, of small gestures and created not only as a business, but also as a place for the people of the neighborhood. It is much more and it is no coincidence that the family works together with Parks and Gardens to improve the area around the site. Because the flower garden and clean space are just as important to them as the drinks. They believe that a cozy place starts not only from the inside, but also from the outside.
Cafe Paris is proof that a “neighborhood cafe” can be much more – a combination of coziness, world-class standards and care for the community. This is one of those places in Plovdiv that shows that the charm of the city is not only hidden in the center, but also in the neighborhoods, where you can always find something new and valuable.
