It appears as a hippie celebration in Varna in 1980, but later the celebration moved to the village of Varvara, Tsarevo municipality. It is currently celebrated regularly with the participation of John Lawton on the most eastern coast of our country - the rocks near the village of KamenBriag, where the sun shines first in Bulgaria. For many years, the whole event has been very well organized. There is a stage where many different groups play, and sometimes there’seven the rock legend John Lawton from Uriah Heap, with whose performance of the song the sunrise is welcomed.

Over the years, July Morning has gained a growing popularity among young people, with the places they are celebrating now spreading not only along the Black Sea coast but also in most of the country's big cities along the banks of the rivers and lakes, as long as they have good visibility to the east - the direction of the sunrise. Other popular locations include the Kamchia River Beach, the Dolphin Camp, the Vihren Peak and Cape Emine and Irakli.

In Sofia, for example, the celebration of the rising sun is most often celebrated 1345 meters above sea level from the Kopitoto television tower in Vitosha, and in the city under the hills popular locations for meeting the first morning rays are the site of the peak of Bunardzhika or Nebettepe.
