Cat and Mouse LOCAL turns into a stage for several local artisans of handmade goods - just in time for the brightest holidays

Every year we bring you Christmas gift ideas with an emphasis on handmade beauty. Today we invite you again to the most creative district - Kapana, where a group of enthusiasts will present their handmade items.

The space of one of the newest bars in the area - Cat and Mouse LOCAL, will bring together several special local artists who have created a variety of original home and office decorations, leather goods, warm accessories, special Temari balls , symbolizing the deepest feelings of friendship and respect, books for the soul and fluffy blankets for the little ones. Every item made by our authors is suitable as a gift for people dear to your heart and is a perfect opportunity to support local craftspeople.

Eva and Dudi, known to most of us with their Odeyaloto brand, will present unique blankets for young and old. They are handmade and one of a kind, and you can order them yourself with motifs that you like.

Valentin Valkanov will present his book of short stories Geography of the Bottom, and with it you can get a merch t-shirt and a bottle of craft beer.

Gergana Nikolova from Our House will tempt us with attractive Christmas candlesticks and decorations, and Lyuba - with hand-knitted hats and socks to warm our loved ones on cold winter days.

We’ll also surprise you with something completely unique, which hasn’t been presented at any bazaar in the city under the hills.

Sonia Petrova will stun you with Temari balls. This is a folk art originating from China and brought to Japan 500-600 years ago. They were originally made by mothers and grandmothers for their children to play with and were made from leftover old kimonos. These pieces of silk were crumpled into a ball shape and then wrapped in strips of cloth.

Over time, the traditional Temari balls have become an art, and now they are a valuable gift symbolizing friendship and respect. They are still called Hime-Temari (silk balls) – made to bring good luck to the person who owns them. Even today, Temari balls are made by hand from colorful cotton and silk threads. The richness of the palette of colors used to make them is a symbolic wish for a glamorous and happy life.

We can also expect some interesting macrame Christmas decorations for the home and tree and handmade leather goods.

The dates are December 22 and 23 (Friday and Saturday) from 11 a.m., and the place is the courtyard of Cat and Mouse LOCAL. So you can easily use the time you choose and shop with a cup of aromatic cappuccino in the morning or a delicious mulled wine in the afternoon.
