Opening weekend. Plovdiv – European Capital of Culture 2019

This weekend we’re celebrating the opening of the European Capital of Culture 2019!

The most attractive and momentous highlight in our programme - the "WE ARE ALL COLORS" show will happen on 12th of January from 7 pm. on Tsar Boris III Obedinitel Blvd.

Over the course of an extended weekend a series of events will take place at various in- and outdoor spaces across the city. Check the full programme here.

Plovdiv Together - PACHO at BALLY CLUB

This Friday, behind the decks at Bally Club, will stand Pacho - one of the most famous and proven DJs in the Balkans. More than 20 years of hard work and collaborative work with colleagues and producers all over the world speaks eloquently about his development.

Still in holiday mood in the opening weekend of Plovdiv ECOC 2019 behind the decks at Groove Music & Art will stand Parapitek & Alcoholiday. We’ll open the evening with an appropriate festive reggae and we slowly climb up to the energetic Drum and Bass! Prepare yourselves for dancing.

Plovdiv – Capital of dance

To celebrate the opening of the Plovdiv 2019 program, we will have a civilized and sophisticated evening on the edge of Kapana. We'll drink tea with biscuits and listen to string quartets. We will talk about philosophy and literature. We will celebrate the beginning of the cultural peak we are entering. It is possible to open a bottle of champagne if we find ourselves in a more indecent mood. Maybe we can drink a glass of vermouth. Last resort. We will be fascinated by your presence.
